The Swiss pension system is based on a three-pillar principle:

  • First pillar: This covers old-age and survivors’ insurance (OASI) and disability insurance (DI). Both are compulsory for individuals residing or working in Switzerland.

  • Second pillar: The next pillar covers occupational pensions under the Swiss Occupational Pensions Act (OPA). In addition to OASI and DI benefits, it helps maintain the standard of living you’re used to in retirement. Anyone earning a defined minimum income is required to contribute.

  • Third pillar: The final pillar covers private pension provision. This includes voluntary contributions to pillar 3a and 3b, which help close any gaps in your insurance cover. The law also provides for tax incentives in this area.

Planning for the future – with three pillars

The three pillars of the Swiss pension system secure your financial future over the years and decades – for retirement, in case of disability and in case of death. We can provide all the assistance you need to ensure your financial independence.

You should start planning your private pension as early as possible; it’s the only way to maintain your current standard of living in retirement. The longer you save, the more you’ll benefit, and that includes tax advantages. Ideally, you’ll begin planning for your future as soon as you enter the world of work, but it’s never too late to start thinking about your retirement.

Is basic insurance under the Swiss Health Insurance Act (HIA) enough, or do I still need supplementary insurance under the Insurance Policies Act (IPA)? As insurance premiums continue to rise (becoming practically unaffordable for many), more and more policyholders are asking themselves this very question.

It’s difficult to make general statements about this, as coverage gaps may arise if you don’t have supplementary insurance, potentially leading to financial difficulties. That’s why our experts will analyse your circumstances and requirements with you to develop the appropriate insurance solution. This enables us to offer you a customised quote with flexible insurance solutions tailored to your needs.

Risk life insurance in the event of death or disability, endowment insurance, fund-linked life insurance, life insurance as part of the third pillar – when it comes to life insurance, the range of options is wide and complex.

We always start with a thorough analysis of your circumstances. Based on the results, our experts will evaluate products tailored to your individual needs and configure them according to your preferences. This service is free of charge for you.

Property insurance

Is it worth taking out liability insurance? In a word, yes. We’re all liable for any loss or damage we cause and must bear the resulting costs. Even a minor mishap can be extremely expensive to put right, and the costs are often impossible to cover with personal savings alone.

When it comes to liability insurance, we differentiate between various types: private liability insurance, motor vehicle liability insurance, animal owner liability, principal’s liability, homeowner liability and environmental damage liability. While private liability insurance is optional, motor vehicle liability insurance is compulsory for all drivers.

To avoid financial hardship in the event of a claim, it’s best to conduct a preliminary assessment. Our experts will provide you with comprehensive, professional assistance.

Purchasing a property is a significant financial investment. To protect your home and your financial security against potential risks, a thorough analysis of your requirements is essential. In some cantons, basic coverage is provided by the cantonal building insurance scheme, while in others, you’re free to choose your insurance provider.

Beyond the standard coverage for fire and natural damage, there are numerous optional additional insurance policies available on the market. What do they cover? What exclusions apply? Our experts will be happy to answer all your questions in a personal consultation.

Motor vehicle liability insurance, partial or comprehensive accidental damage insurance – which policies are compulsory, and which are optional?

For leased vehicles, fully comprehensive insurance (a combination of partial and comprehensive accidental damage) is compulsory. However, for purchased vehicles (new or used), insurance coverage can be customised to meet your specific needs.

Motor vehicle liability insurance is compulsory for all vehicle drivers. To save on premiums, it’s best to conduct a preliminary risk assessment. Whether you’re registering a vehicle with an interchangeable number plate or opting for fully comprehensive insurance for an expensive new car, our experts will find the most cost-effective insurance solution without compromising on cover.

Do you frequently travel within Switzerland or abroad? Whether it’s by car, motorhome or aeroplane, travel insurance is essential.

Protect yourself against unexpected costs due to cancellations or repatriation in the event of an accident abroad.

It’s Monday morning, and you’re at a junction, running late and feeling stressed. Accidents can happen all too quickly in situations like this. Who’ll cover the damage? Who’ll defend your rights? We’ll be happy to present you with a tailor-made, cost-effective solution that meets your individual needs.
